Located in Santa Barbara California, West Bluff Capital, Inc. (WBC), focuses in three main service areas: Real Estate Investments, Lending/Finance, and Venture Capital Investments. The company was formed by two UCSB graduates with complimentary backgrounds in real estate sales and investments, Neil E. Botts and Julian Michalowski. Our focus is to provide fully integrated services to acquire and finance real estate assets for both short-term opportunistic purchases as well as long “buy and hold” opportunities with significant appreciation potential and cash flow. The company is based on an annual Return On Investment for our investors and our objective is for our investors to earn a much higher rate of return than an average stock market portfolio type of investment. West Bluff Capital has its own funds, as well as, always seeking future private investors. Investors can participate in several facets; opportunities vary from being involved in specific projects which can be done in a variety of ways from limited partnerships and third party asset backed lending to simply investing funds into the company at an agreed upon annual ROI.
Neil E. Botts
Neil Botts grew up on the central California coast and graduated from UCSB in 1983 with a degree in Geology. During a 25 year career, he was instrumental in building a small environmental engineering and construction company from 3 employees to over 500 with revenues exceeding $70M. He later sold the company to one of the largest employee-owned A/E firms in the US. During this period, he was responsible for over $114M in construction and construction management projects for various Federal, State and Private Entities. During the last 10 years, he has focused on real estate acquisition, rehabilitation and property management.
Julian Michalowski was born and raised in Carlsbad, California, and has been a Santa Barbara resident for 10 years. He received his degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Communication. The first 5 years of his career began at Sotheby’s International Realty, where he developed a real estate sales team, which in 2 years became one of the top teams at Sotheby’s; selling over $30,000,000 dollars in one year. His passion though, was always the investment aspect of real estate. Within his first 3 years of being in real estate, he created a portfolio with 10 properties, all cash flowing, using different strategies for lending and acquisition. In 2014, Julian changed his focus to development and has been involved in over 30 projects along the South Coast. Each property has had a different approach to development and construction and all projects have been profitable.
Austin Jones is a Southern California native. He received his double major in Sociology & Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Integrating his education into the real estate profession has given him dynamic insight into the cross-cultural understanding of his clientele. Austin was responsible for over 10M in acquisitions within his first year of joining the team. He is a licensed Realtor and focuses most of his time on business development at WBC. Austin builds and maintains relationships with local real estate agents, as well as, working directly with owners to grow WBC's portfolio.
